I need to look straight ahead….my gaze does not go behind but side to side and all around…like a nervous first time driver…remember those drivers ed videos that showed somehow what it was like through the eyes of a first time driver….darting to and fro…never really paying attention to what was ahead! Oh…to have Prov 4:25 kind of focus! straight ahead….look directly ahead…don’t worry about what’s beside you…what might be behind you…just look ahead! “turn my eyes upon Jesus!”
Good point, Bev! I like your additions! Great thoughts, girl! Turn our eyes upon Jesus…we just need to move that steering wheel, or let Jesus do it for us!
I loved your thoughts of looking forward and not back. Keep my eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of my faith, by doing so we can see all the signals and His direction as to which way to go.
Maybe that is why He put our eyes in front of our face and not on the back of our heads….my attempt at humor. 🙂 Love you…keep writing!
